Proton Therapy Partners (“PTP”) has named Kurt Morath, Vice President of Operations. Morath will begin his new role with PTP this summer. Most recently, Morath served as Director of Operations at Penn Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia, PA. He led Penn’s radiation oncology operations through unprecedented growth, overseeing all aspects of the departments’ operations. He had oversight for all vendor relations in both proton and photon therapy and was responsible for contract negotiation, integration of Penn Radiation Oncology’s Center and was an integral part of building the Robert’s Proton Therapy Center which opened in 2009. He also led Penn’s efforts in building two single-room proton centers.

In his role with PTP, Morath will direct all aspects of operations. He will be responsible for leading the planning, building and operation of PTP’s Proton Therapy Centers and will oversee the company’s management and consulting business.
Morath began his career at Penn 27 years ago. He has held various positions in which he has increased his level of responsibilities as a result of achieving and surpassing departmental and organizational goals. Kurt is widely respected within the radiation oncology community and has presented on operational readiness, effectivity and efficiency at many national and international conferences. “I am very excited to be joining the team at Proton Therapy Partners,” said Morath. “This company is quickly establishing itself as a leader forming equity joint ventures with healthcare systems and other clinical partners.
